Story #239

  • Body Image

Part of me likes instagram for the funny videos in reels, I do enjoy that side of it. I don’t like the filters because now when I see one- I wish I looked that way which is impossible but I find it hard not to expect that level of perfection from myself which is unattainable. I wish filters were just comical and not ones that make you “perfect”. If I ever (which is rare) scroll through filters on my face, and then stop using the filter, I’m always disgusted in my appearance. I rarely post on it and sometimes seeing peoples posts makes me feel like a failure as if I’m not doing the same spectacular things they are. I try to avoid that kind of thing and just use it to send funny videos to my friends.
